WRINGTON VALE ROTARY YOUTH SPEAKS
On Thursday 7th March Mrs Woollven had the pleasure of attending the Wrington Vale Rotary, Youth Speaks competition. This is a highly prestigious event where teams of three pupils compete to deliver an engaging and informative speech on a topical issue. Each team member takes on one of three roles: chairperson, speaker and vote of thanks. The evening is conducted in Churchill Academy School Hall where the pupils deliver their speech to the judging panel and assembled families and guests. It is a big challenge and our three pupils did a fantastic job. Their speech, entitled ‘Social media friend or foe’, was informative, engaging and entertaining. Mrs Woollven was very proud to say she was their headteacher. Congratulations to all of the pupils for a fabulous effort.
