This week the children have particularly enjoyed looking at nature and how to help it. We have also been exploring our own skeleton using the x-rays. You can see more in our photo gallery. After listening to 'Fossils' by Camille Saint-Saens, the children have become very interested in classical music. They have enjoyed listening to and watching parts of Fantasia.
Exciting news is that we have added some learning videos to the website! They are intended for you to watch at home together to carry on our learning from school. Enjoy!
On another note, if you have any old unwanted building materials at home like tyres, wood, guttering etc. we would love to have some to improve our outside provision for the class! Let either myself or Mrs Fuller know!
Have an enjoyable weekend, look out for our class photo in the paper soon too!
What a busy week!
The children have been busy learning about harvest and growing. Particular favourite activities have been going on an autumn leaf walk collecting different types of leaves, and planting our own bean seeds. We also made bread which scared Miss Woodfine as I have not got the best reputation for cooking in the school! I am not ashamed to admit that Mrs Thompson (our cook) has had to save numerous past dishes I have attempted with the children! This one turned out well! Although I do think Paul Hollywood would have mentioned the soggy bottom!
We have been focusing on patterns recently in our maths. We have spotted some marvellous mistakes including adding extra colours into the pattern half way through! Look out for a Learning Video coming soon about patterns that you can watch at home to keep practicing!
The children did me very proud in the Church today for our Harvest Service. They were impeccably behaved and sang beautifully. Thank you again for everyone that helped us walk down. It is appreciated!
