Welcome to Term 5

Welcome back!

We have now been in lockdown for four weeks and the Year 2 team hope that you are all keeping safe and well.

The weather has been very kind to us and we have had some very warm days indeed. We have spent lots of time outside in the garden and going on bike rides with our own children. Mrs Hardwick has cleared out one shed, painted another very large one and painted lots of fence panels too! Miss Pike has cut down a very large oak tree in her garden which was blocking out the sunlight. Her patio is now a sun trap! Mrs Holdaway has also been in the garden painting her shed and lots of fences. She has been busy cooking including making homemade pizza and bread.

We have all spent time in school, working with children of key workers. It has been lovely to catch up with some of the children in this way, but also to chat to some families who have passed the school gates while we have been in the playground.

We would love to hear from all of you to see what you have been up to during the Easter holidays. Please continue to send in photographs of the amazing learning that you are doing at home with your parents.

We miss you all.

Keep smiling. Stay safe.

Mrs Hardwick, Miss Pike and Mrs Holdaway

Well done for beating Year 3 at your TTRS battle!

There's now a new battle for you against Year 5!

Remember that every little bit helps! Even a small score can help us win the battle and help to improve your knowledge of times tables and related division facts.

We're also keeping a note of who has earned a certificate (or two) on Numbots. Well done for keeping this going too!

We have written a timetable to help with planning activities for each day. Please use it if you think it helps with establishing a routine for your child's home learning. There is no obligation to use it.
