Last week, we saw our super Year 6 class sitting their SATs tests. The whole class reflected our rules for life and showed fantastic resilience, responsibility, readiness and respect for themselves and all their classmates.  Thank you to all of the school team, members of the governing body and to families for  supporting the children to have such a positive SATs experience.  The young people should feel incredibly proud of themselves.

Whilst only a short term, it has been a super busy term.  Thank you to all of our Year 1 class for a lovely class service, and to all of our Year 1 families for the first T@3 of the year to be held out in the sunshine.

Thank you also to all of the musicians and vocalists who performed at our Spring Concert, at the end of April.  Gary Lewis, CEO of Lighthouse School’s Partnership, thanked all of the children, the school team and the music teachers for a fantastic evening of music, showcasing the incredible talent of our young people.

As term 5 comes to a close, we will be wishing a fond farewell to Libby Warren.  Libby has been a school meals supervisor and learning support assistant, at Churchill Primary School, for the last 20 years.  She has supported many classes over the years, but most recently she has been working with the Year 1 team.  Come rain or shine, Libby has been part of the team ensuring our young people are safe and happy at lunchtime.  We wish Libby all the very best in her retirement.
