As I type, our Year 5 class are waking up after their first night on their much-anticipated residential trip.  There was lots excitement as they headed off from school yesterday, ready to take on their first challenge, Jacob’s Ladder.  Their enthusiasm was not affected by the wet and windy conditions, which had abated slightly by the evening.  Hot chocolate, marshmallows and camp fires saw the end to their first exciting day.

This year, we have increased our pupil leadership groups.  Hearing our pupil voice is really important and these groups (School Councillors, Ambassadors, Librarians, House Captains, Eco Champions and Collective Worship Champions) all feed in to the development of our school.

Our Collective Worship Champions have been working on planning our harvest service.  They had heard about another school who had created an enormous domino run, from the cereal boxes donated for harvest.  They are really keen to support the local food banks and thought this would be a lovely way to have some fun whilst supporting a vital good cause.  To help, we are asking families who can to donate a box of cereal so that we can create our own giant cereal domino run. We will need to receive the boxes of cereal by the morning of the Tuesday 4th November – the first day of term.  If you would like to bring in your donation early, we are happy to collect them ahead of time.  With thanks Collective Worship Champions and Mrs Woollven
