Newsletter 12

Term 4 seems to have flown by and before we know it, we will be breaking up for Easter.  Before we finish, we are looking forward to our Easter Service, led by our Collective Worship Champions, as well as a special service where we will be saying a fond farewell to some members of our school team, who will be leaving us at the end of term.  Karen Guy, has worked as a Learning Support Assistant at Churchill Primary School for the last 19 years.  Karen will leave a big hole in the support team, in particular in Year 1, where she has been the absolute cornerstone for the last 6 years.

Linda Hobson is also looking to take on new adventures.  Linda has most recently been teaching on a Wednesday afternoon in Years 3 and 6, offering the teachers their planning and preparation time.  She has for many years offered supply cover, when teachers have been unwell, often helping out at the very last minute when we have needed cover.  We have been really grateful for her support.

Finally, Andrew Curtis, our site supervisor, is leaving to embrace new challenges.  Andrew has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure our school is safe and looking its best, since 2013. On so many occasions he has solved plumbing issues, heating problems and slippery paths before many of us have even risen in the morning.  We wish all our colleagues a very fond farewell and hope their new adventures bring them great joy.
