Newsletter 13

Firstly, apologies for the slightly shorter than normal newsletter.  We are experiencing some technical problems with our IT server so I have not been able to access a lot of the information.  As soon as the system is back up and running, the office team will send out a slightly updated version with our clubs and community news included.

Our final term of the school year is now well underway.  Last week the children had a fantastic day of sporting experiences, including the much-enjoyed Boogie Bounce, Drumba activities and golf. It was lovely to see the children working together, in class teams, to take on the sporting challenges and support each other to have a super day. We are extremely grateful for all of the sponsorship money that you have already collected, this will make a significant difference to the opportunities we can offer the children.  If you wish to return any sponsorship money there is still time.  Mr Davis will be leading a special service on the 26th May, when we will be celebrating the success of the day.

Ahead of our next sporting activity, sports day on the 27th June, children across the school have been showcasing their learning in their end of year assessments.  From the Phonics Screening Check, in Year 1, to the Multiplication Tables Check in Year 4 and moderation of writing in Year 6, there have been assessments occurring in all classes.  Our children have shown ‘determined minds’ and really strived to be the very best they can be.  We are really proud of their efforts.

This Friday, our youngest pupils will have an opportunity to show case their learning, in the final class service and T@3 of the year.  With the weather promising to be beautiful, we are hoping to hold the T@3 outside in the sunshine.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Mrs Woollven
