SEND & the Local Offer

 

 

Ms Ford was appointed our Special Educational Needs and/or Disability Coordinator in April 2020, when she completed a SEND diploma. In January 2023 she completed her NASENCO (National Award for SEND Coordination).

If you require any further information regarding our provision for pupils with SEND please contact Ms Ford who will be happy to explain the graduated approach we use within our universal provision for all pupils.

Termly SEND Drop-in sessions & PINs Participation Groups

Ms Ford will be continuing to hold informal drop-in sessions for any parents/carers who would like to come and ask questions, or seek advice or guidance with regard to SEND.  These will be advertised on here as well as in our school newsletters, with posters on class windows.  Our next session will be in Term 6 - date t.b.c.

We have now completed our participation in the PINs (Partnership for Inclusivity of Neurodiversity in Schools) Project, with our latest Parent/Carer coffee afternoon held on 12th February, where the NSPCWT delivered some training on Demand Avoidance.

NSPCWT training, webinars and events for Parents and Carers

'North Somerset Parents Carers Working Together' regularly offer a number of online and face to face events, webinars and training sessions.  Any of the sessions can be booked via their website (www.NSPCWT.org). Their website is full of advice, resources and information for parents and carers in North Somerset.
