Timings of the school day

START OF THE SCHOOL DAY

To help the flow of families arriving and leaving the school site safely, we are running a staggered start and finish to the school day.  All our children are greeted at the classroom door and welcomed into class.

Key Stage 2 (Years 3,4,5 and 6) - 8:40 start and 3:10 finish

Key Stage 1 (Years R, 1 and 2) - 8:50 start and 3:20 finish

BREAK

Children are encouraged to bring healthy snacks, which are kept separately from lunch food! Free fruit and vegetables are provided to KS1 children each day. Your child is entitled to free milk until age 5 and this is arranged by the office. After this ‘freeperiod you can purchase daily milk cartons if you wish. Forms are available from the school office.

LUNCHTIME

We have wonderful lunchtime assistants. They organise grace, seating, playground supervision etc. Lunch is taken in two sittings – Key Stage 1 at 12.00 noon and Key Stage 2 at 12.15pm.

Lunchtime play ends for everyone at 1.15pm.

END OF SCHOOL

School finishes at 3.10 (KS2) and 3:20 (KS1). Please collect your child(ren) from the playground and check they have their book bag. Reception, KS1 and Yr3/4  children are only released directly to the adult collecting them.

If you are going to be late, please telephone the school on 01934 852446 by 3.00pm. Your child/children will then wait for you in the Library. Please come to the main school entrance to collect “waiting” children.
