Great reading everyone! Keep it up!

Do you trust your internet search?

In ICT we have been learning about how information gets put on the internet and how trustworthy this information might be.

The children explored the Apple Ants website and it took them a while, but eventually they started to question whether it was true or not! Have a look and see for yourselves!

PE fun on Red Nose Day

This year, Churchill Young Leaders designed the PE activities for all our children. Everyone, including all the adults, had lots of fun.

Activities included......

Storytelling

We have been using our puppets to help retell our innovated stories. Watch this space for our final published stories...

Churchill E Safety Day

Tuesday 14th March

We engaged in learning activities that taught us how to keep safe online. We listened to stories, took part in quizzes, joined in with songs and as part of a whole school competition, designed a desktop background.

Drawing Unit

We have been experimenting with mark making using different tools or mark makers (paintbrush, cardboard, cotton bud) Using black paint, we have created some amazing effects. See if you agree.

Our Maths Learning

TIME

We are learning to read the time on an analogue clock face- o'clock and half past times so far. There is already lots of information to know and understand like...... the 'long' hand is known as the minute hand and the 'short' hand is known as the hour hand.

Top Marks Maths has some interactive games that we are using to help reinforce our learning about time. Please click the link.

Free Maths Games about Measuring Weights, Length and Telling the Time (topmarks.co.uk)

Using our skills of rolling, forming, pinching and pulling clay, we used our imagination to create 3D models in response to a story called 'Matilda the Hen and the Space Eggs'.

Art

To complete our 3D unit, we are using clay and developing our skills of rolling, forming, pinching and pulling.

We worked in groups to create a garden of vegetables, responding to a story called 'The Magic Garden'
