   Our school motto is:

With kind hearts and determined minds, we inspire each other to be the best we can be.

   Our motto supports our vision:

To create a nurturing community in which we ignite curious minds, foster generous hearts and embrace a changing world so our children can live life in all its fullness.

“Let all that you do, be done in love”

                                                                                                                   (1 Corinthians, 16:14)

   Our Values are:

   Throughout their time in school we aim for our

   children to:

  • develop a love of learning and a zest for life;
  • be courageous and resilient in their learning, develop the confidence to tackle challenges and solve problems independently and collaboratively;
  • proud of their achievements and not be afraid to make mistakes;
  • dare to be excellent, to have no limits on what they can achieve;
  • have the very highest standards of behaviour: do the right thing because it is the right thing to do;
  • respect others, themselves and the environment;
  • develop an understanding of the Christian attitudes of love, hope, respect and trust;
  • develop and value cultural diversity and being part of a wider world.

Learning and Teaching at Churchill Church of England Primary School

At Churchill Church of England Primary School, we are passionate about nurturing kind hearts and inspiring determined minds so that our children can live life in all its fullness.  We are committed to being the best version of ourselves we can be and we challenge our children to be the same.

We see children as incredible and powerful learners.  Our team provide exciting experiences and challenges which feed our children’s curiosity of the world and embrace their inquisitive nature.

Our carefully structured curriculum builds on our children’s experiences, interests and knowledge.  We see learning as a lifelong journey and take seriously our responsibility to inspire a love of learning and foster a passion to grow as a person.

        Learn with passion to live with purpose

We open doors to new ideas, challenge stereotypes and embrace creativity and innovative thought.  We have high aspirations for all children and place no limits on what we believe they can achieve.

As we continue to review and craft our curriculum, responding to our children’s needs, we ensure there is a clear focus on the key knowledge and vocabulary we will be developing across the primary years.  Our curriculum choices will reflect the roots of our school vision: kindness, respect, determination and resilience
