Term 3

Welcome to Term 3!

This term we will be exploring our creative sides in our theme of 'take a picture'.

Check back to see some of the fun and learning that we have in class.

We have been using Van Gogh and Matisse as inspiration for our own art gallery.

Chinese New Year - some of the many activities we have enjoyed

National Story Telling Week

As part of National Storytelling Week, Mrs Woollven visited us to share some of her favourite stories. Mrs Birkett also took us to our garden gazebo and read us her favourite book, 'The Enormous Crocodile'.

Measuring challenges - who is the tallest? Who has the longest feet?

The children have loved exploring different artist techniques and using art as inspiration. In our last week of term, we asked a big question. ‘Is art the same in every country or different?”

We did a whistle stop tour of the World looking at famous paintings and sculptures. The children asked lots of question and we had a very lengthy class discussion! They concluded that art from different countries were very different. Some even went on to make their own versions of art work.
Our class art gallery is here to stay!
